An award-winning Black Country firm has announced proposals to open its third premises as part of £1million GWP national expansion plan creating jobs.

Midlands-based Gravity Risk Services Ltd is planning to open a new arm of the insurance business in Leicester early next year.

The move will initially create two new jobs – rising to six.

The news follows the opening of a branch in Bradford in July this year, to add to the original premises in Dudley, West Midlands – all achieved within just five years of setting up the business.

It caps a remarkable run for the company which was nominated in two regional insurance awards this month. Gravity Risk Services Ltd was a finalist in the Broker of the Year award in the West Midlands Insurance Institutes Awards and also Claims Initiative of the Year. The company won the Broker of the Year award in 2014 and was a finalist the following year.

Boss Dale Collett puts the meteoric rise to success down to ambition and “unswerving commitment” of all his staff.

He said: “We set big but very achievable goals for the company and everyone contributes to these goals with unswerving commitment.

We’re all really excited about the plans for the new office in Leicester which shows our firm commitment to expanding the work we do into other regions. We believe in reinvesting to continue our growth, and in just five years, that is already paying off.

The new Leicester branch in Syston will trigger a growth in the premiums the company handles by £1million as part of the expansion blueprint for 2018.

Mr Collett started the business in his garage in 2012 with decades of experience in the industry.
